Summary:
The guy behind Move Review Profits leads you to believe that you’re easily gonna make the big bucks from watching and reviewing videos.
But that couldn’t be further from the truth because the training you get fails to live up to the hype, since it teaches some bad and outdated practices.
Don’t get me wrong, you can earn a nice income from reviewing movies through affiliate marketing and other monetization channels.
But just don’t expect to MRP to be the action-packed money-making blockbuster of the year you’ve been waiting for.
Final Verdict: Not Recommended.
But before scrolling further, see my #1 ranked product that can actually get you results in terms of a full-time income via affiliate marketing.
What’s Movie Review Profits All About, You Say?
Imagine getting paid $20 – $30 per hour simply from watching and reviewing movies (or “films”, as us Brits call them), huh?
Well, that’s what the Movie Review Profits sales video spokesman (Jeff) reckons you’ll be doing, starting right now!
He says at this very point in time, 1,000s of peeps are already raking in the bucks from viewing their favourite movies at their own leisure…
Apparently, nobody needs to be a film critic or have any expert skills in the industry to get paid…
And Jeff is gonna reveal how YOU can also easily get paid from companies/websites to watch movies across a wide spectrum of categories.
In fact, he’s gonna give you a free gift to help you hit the ground running (or should I say hit the sofa with your feet up).
I must admit, making a ton of cash from being a “sofa slob” seems like most people’s dreams come true.
Because who wouldn’t wanna get paid for pigging out all day in front of the TV box… It’s drop-dead easy money, right?
Don’t get me wrong, folks can actually make money from sitting through movies and offering their feedback.
In fact, if you learn to start and grow your own affiliate marketing Biz that revolves around recommending Amazon movie services/DVDs, for example…
You could potentially generate a full-time monthly income.
But if sitting on your ass all day watching chick flicks/action movies really is as lucrative as Jeff claims, then why isn’t everybody doing it, huh?
Hmm…
It’s a great idea on paper, but there’s more to it than meets the eye, I’m afraid.
Let’s Draw Back The Movie Review Profits Theater Drapes…
First of all, the “free gift” you supposedly get isn’t free at all.
Because once you input your name and email, you’re taken to a 50% off coupon and fast action bonus page that lists the following bonuses:
- Get-Paid-To Watch Movies Video Training & Audio Series
- Paid To Upload Files & Movies Report
- Paid To Lose Weight & Surf The Net Reports
- Money Making Moguls Private Members Area
You’ll get access to all of these when you redeem your discount and activate your lifetime account for $37.
So as the saying goes – “there’s no such thing as a free lunch”, right?
I digress…
Let’s See How The Whole Thing Works: And… Action!!!…
When you part with your hard-earned dollars, you’ll gain access to a members’ area.
Where Mr. Jeff (whoever this random dude is) takes you by the hand and walks you through 6 lesson chapters:
- Yes, You Can Get Paid For Watching Movies
- Getting Paid Directly
- How To Scale & Make More Money
- Get Paid To Watch Movies Indirectly
- Advanced Method To Get Paid To Watch Movies Indirectly
- Putting Everything Together (Real Case Study)
In a nutshell, you’ll get training videos, audios, and PDFs that cover two different ways to turn a buck from reviewing videos.
The first method’s all about building your own website/blog to write video review posts (the best option, in my experience).
And the second one revolves around submitting reviews to third party websites for one-time payments.
Where you’ll learn about hiring freelancers on Fiverr.com, rewording reviews, and opening up multiple accounts to get the job done and money rolling in.
However, The Training’s Nothing to Shout Home About
Because on one hand, some of it’s quite shallow stuff that fails to paint the whole picture when it comes to building a profitable long term blog.
And on the other hand, most parts of the training are also obsolete.
For example, it’s recommended that you open up accounts with Squidoo and create multiple lenses.
Squidoo is actually how I got my foot in the door of affiliate marketing many moons ago.
I built MULTIPLE lenses that promoted seasonal goods like Halloween fancy dress costumes and Christmas decorations.
I made a killing through Amazon Associates and CJ.com, I tell ya! Especially with the Black Friday & Cyber Monday sales.
BUT Squidoo run its course years ago, I’m afraid. It’s no longer with us, bless its soul.
As for rewording reviews (using a “content spinner”) – it’s a huge NO-NO if you want your content ranked in Google.
It might have worked in the 1990s, but not today because your content must be unique and high-quality.
And as for hiring Fiverr freelancers for writing your content, don’t even get me started on those guys lol.
For pennies on the dollar, all they’ll do is copy chunks of other bloggers’ reviews, which can land you and your blog in hot water.
Trust me, I’ve caught out a few ClickFunnels affiliates over the theft of my blog content in the past – who hired Fiverr freelancers.
So overall, I don’t see how anyone can earn a full-time living with MRP, if I’m being totally honest.
Final Conclusion: Is Movie Review Profits a Scam?
In my opinion, it’s a bit extreme calling Movie Review Profits a scam because it does actually deliver some value.
But as for the method generating you up to 30 bucks per hour as easy as pie from putting your feet up, it’s extremely debatable.
Because for starters, the training’s not just inadequate, but you’re also taught some pretty outdated strategies that are ineffective.
And secondly, starting and growing a successful affiliate Biz requires both hard work and time.
Whether you choose to build your own movie review style blog or post reviews on third-party platforms.
But if you’re willing to invest the effort into building your own profitable movie (or any other niche) review blog from scratch…
And also want the websites, step-by-step training & 24/7 support from a huge community of affiliate marketers for getting the job done…

For a business to triumph in the business world, it needs modern strategies and practice.
Movie Review Profits using outdated strategies to teach/train members will result in more harm than good because they will be outdated with the modern techniques that are suitable for digital marketing practice.
I couldn’t agree more!
Implementing retro strategies that no longer get the job done is just pointless and a total waste of time.
All I can say is, thank goodness we have the likes of Wealthy Affiliate teaching us modern-day money-making strategies. 🙂
Hello Neil, thanks for sharing this review. I was actually doing some research on Movie Review Profits when I saw your website, I am glad you have enlightened me about it.
I wasn’t sure if it was legit or not but after going through your review I believe my doubt has now been cleared.
It’s no problem at all!
And that’s great! Be sure to visit again because I’ve got plenty of reviews on legit/scammy money-making products on the way.
Neil, this is exactly what is happening online with these unscrupulous people putting this nonsense online. You also have to pay for this garbage!
They catch people that are ignorant of what is happening online. I am of opinion that this blockbuster money-maker is a way to lure people into a trap, like thousands of others like them.
The training that they supply might be adequate, but I still believe that this type of work can be done through affiliate marketing, the proper way… Thank you for your review.
The internet has been like this for donkey’s years, unfortunately.
But as you say, don’t let products like Movie Review Profits stop you from creating something successful in the affiliate marketing space because there are also many legitimate platforms about (hint: Wealthy Affiliate and FIMP, to name a couple).
You’re welcome!
You have provided a great review here. Actually I’ll read this before opening up an email with the headline “How to watch movies and make money”.
So now, armed and dangerous, I will open that email shortly. I never knew Squidoo had passed, I still see it mentioned a bit on the WWW.
So thanks for that snippet of info.
I appreciate that, Michael!
Haha, glad to know I got to you before that email did.
Unfortunately, Squiddo is dead and buried – that’s one of the red flag giveaways for me with MRP. But I guess Squidoo (along with Hubpages) is always gonna pop up in conversations online because it helped to shape the affiliate marketing world before blogging became a “thing”.
Hi, well I didn’t know there is even a tiny possibility to live from watching movies and write about them. OK there are proffessionals that write movie reviews, but they are experts.
It seems an overall very nice idea, but if training material is outdated and you reviewed with 3 out of 10 – I won’t even bother.
But is there a legit platform for watching movies and earn from them? This is a perfect idea for sofa people, so why not try it?
Cheers.
YUP, it’s certainly a possibility to earn from watching films IF you’re willing to start a blog and invest the effort into writing reviews.
There are always gonna be “experts” when it comes to any industry, but you can still become an authority online yourself and compete with those individuals. 😉
But unfortunately, MRP isn’t gonna do you any favours – which is why you should stay away from it.
In my experience, Wealthy Affiliate and First-Time Internet Marketing Profits are awesome platforms for building a successful online business around movies (and in fact, in any niche).
But for other ways to get paid watching movies, just do a quick Google search.
