Just out of curiosity, I searched the term ‘affiliate marketing’ in Google Trends and as you can see, it’s been on the rise worldwide over the past 5 years:
In fact, you can bet your bottom dollar that Covid-19 caused a big spike too – forcing more folks to shop online and also work remotely.
As a result, opening up the floodgates to more brands searching for affiliates to promote their products = many more new affiliate Biz start-ups.
And I don’t see affiliate marketing slowing down or dying off any time soon either – it’s here to stay and continue growing, the truth be told.
Which means you have a HUGE opportunity to jump on the bandwagon for your slice of the pie in 2022 and beyond.

#2: Low Competition Niches to Still Tap Into
You’ve probably heard that “affiliate marketing is saturated” *YAWN* a GAZILLION times by now, right?
But that couldn’t be further from the truth, young grasshopper.
Because there are still plenty of opportunities to earn in most niches – even the most competitive ones.
When using the right search tools (i.e., Ahrefs or SemRush), you can even find no competition keywords/low competition niches of interest that can allow you to make bank online faster.
In fact, dig deep enough, and you can even be one of the first to tap into brand new niches that other affiliates haven’t cottoned on to (YET).
It’s how I made $6,000+ in commissions promoting ONE product (The Perfect Webinar Script) alone – before webinars became a “big thing”.
It really can work when you build an affiliate niche website (for example) and work your socks off.
So, time is of the essence when it comes to taking advantage of low competition/new niches for some epic moola in your pockets.

The other cool aspect of affiliate marketing is that there’s probably at least 100 effective ways of earning a substantial income from it.
Some of the popular strategies include:
- Blogging/search engine marketing
- Vlogging
- Social media
- Paid ads
- Podcasts
- Email marketing
- Question & Answer sites/forums
In fact, you can even implement these methods if you prefer to do affiliate marketing totally faceless, which is an added bonus.
However, don’t spread yourself too thin by jumping into multiple strategies at once because it will be difficult to yield good results.
You’ll end up pulling your hair out for months, believe you me.
Instead, focus on just the ONE strategy when starting out as an affiliate and learn to master it to become successful.
Once you’ve nailed it and have commissions pouring in, you can jump on to the next method to start scaling your results.

Not only do these guys n’ gals poses a willingness to learn, work ethic, and a strong mindset…
But they have a powerful “WHY” – goals that propel them. That’s why they succeed.

At the end of the day, affiliate marketing is quite a simple money-making process to understand, and although it looks neither easy nor hard (depending on your perspective)…
It does require heaps of time and effort to become a huge success online, I’m not gonna lie.
